AOD Change Agent Network (CAN) presents its INAUGURAL AOD LEADERSHIP FORUM
Leadership in Times of Change. A Forum with Christine Nixon
Dr Christine Nixon has had an extraordinary life. She has been highly praised and highly criticised, but never ignored! Christine began her policing career in 1972 with the New South Wales Police Force, rising to the rank of Assistant Commissioner. Subsequently she was appointed Chief Commissioner of the Victoria Police from 2001 to 2009. Her next role was Chair of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority from 2009 to 2010.
Christine is currently Chair, Monash College, Deputy Chancellor, Monash University and Chair, Good Shepherd Micro Finance. She leads workshops on leadership, regulation, women in leadership, corruption prevention and communications. Her book, ‘Fair Cop’, published in 2011, candidly shares the public and private stories of Christine Nixon – woman, spouse, citizen, constable – on a journey that encounters tragedy, corruption, ambition and humility.
March 23rd; 9.00am – 1pm @ The Bouverie Centre. 8 Gardiner Street, Brunswick.
