CAN - Where it all began

The Change Agent Network is a new initiative for Turning Point and the Victorian Department of Health. It is an attempt to bring together a range of ‘leaders’ from within the alcohol and drug sector in Victoria and support them to work together with a common purpose and common values.

The goal is about improving the quality of treatment for alcohol and drug clients by ensuring that evidence-based practice is implemented as well as possible, and the way this is done is by developing a ‘community of practice’ – a group that meets regularly to exchange ideas and work together to shape and influence their colleagues and peers.

This initial idea has grown from the initial partners to include VAADA, the Bouverie Centre and most recently Leadership Victoria, who will provide us with their expertise and guidance in what is a new way of working for all of us. This is a great opportunity for new and existing leaders to meet like-minded people and help to shape the sector way into the future.
