Alumni
All members of the Change Agent Network graduate as alumni upon completion of their formal tenure as a Change Agent Network member. Alumni have the opportunity to informally maintain connection with the network and be informed of the activities of the network. They may also be requested to provide input, feedback and useful insights in their area of expertise as required. Current alumni are as follows:
Senior Manager AOD Response, Cohealth. Worked in the AOD sector since 1985 in roles within outreach, detox and therapeutic communities as well as within Victorian telephone counselling service. Moses has a passion for mentoring and supporting practitioners in the AOD sector to develop into leaders and looking for innovative ways of delivering services and making them more accessible to and co-designed with service users.
Manager of the Catalyst Non Residential Rehabilitation Programs Uniting ReGen AOD service Shannon is the Manager of ReGen’s Non-residential Rehabilitation Catalyst Programs. With over 13 years’ working in the AOD sector, he is passionate about ensuring that the non-residential model continues to expand and be delivered at a high standard across the sector.
Senior AOD Clinician, Colac Area Health. Worked in the AOD field for 17 years and seen the industry evolve into an evidenced based service employing innovative committed professionals that facilitate change and support people who seek assistance to manage their drug use. She enjoys her work and is invigorated by positive change and development that allows her to be the best she can be with the clients she works with.
Donald has over twenty four years’ experience as a nurse, 11 with the Alcohol and other drugs sector. He currently works at Albury Wodonga Health, Wodonga Campus Emergency department as an AOD Clinical Nurse Liaison Consultant. He has completed the Graduate Diploma in Addiction and Mental Health and a Diploma in Management. His goal is to be endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in order to further develop services currently offered within the drug and alcohol sector.
AOD Clinical Nurse Consultant, Bairnsdale Regional Health Service Joined 2017
The Women’s AOD Service, The Women’s Hospital. Kerri has worked in a variety of roles including clinical outreach and community development, careers counselling, child protection and teaching and has been in her current position since 2000. She has an interest in improving women’s health and improving outcomes for marginalised women and children. Kerri has participated in the Change Agent Network Leadership Program since its inception and is the deputy convener.
Brendan Fitzhenry - Manager, AOD & Justice, The Salvation Army / Adult Services Network Brendan Fitzhenry manages AOD & Corrections programs within the Adult Services Network of The Salvation Army. Brendan has worked in AOD for fifteen years, predominantly in homelessness settings. In keeping with the organisational mission, Brendan is particularly interested in developing assertive outreach assistance to marginalised populations.
Shelley draws upon practical experience across AOD treatment types and qualification in social work, health science (AOD), community services, mental health and training and assessment to support current management positions for Isis Primary Care AOD Counselling Service and Refugee Health Program. Areas of passion includes Growth: seeing people who face challenges, stretch themselves, utilise resources and develop their knowledge, understandings and capabilities.
